Itinerary - Sirimon Gate to Naro Moru Mt Kenya Trekking --- This is a 5 star Route
Day 1
Sirimon Gate (2700 m) to Old Moses Camp (3340 m)
Hiking time: 2-3 h /Distance: 10 km / Ascent: 640 m
Transfer from Nairobi to Nanyuki for lunch. Afterwards cross the equator en-route, to the Sirimon Park Gate, then trek through forest, bamboo, rosewood and heather zones to our Old Moses Mountain Hut.

Day 2
Old Moses Camp (3340 m) to Shipton's Camp (4200 m)
Hiking time: 7-8 h / Distance: 14 km / Ascent: 860 m
The hike is awesome but a good test on individual endurance. The exciting trek up takes you across hills and valleys through the entire stretch of the sprawling moorlands where you see several unique and interesting plants and animals including the Giant groundsels and lobelias and the mountain rock hyrax.

Day 3
Shipton's Camp (4200 m) to Summit Pt. Lenana (4985 m) and down to Mackinder’s Camp (4200 m)
Hiking time: 7 h / Distance: 7.5 km / Ascent: 785 m / Descent: 785 m
Predawn start (3 am) for the summit attempt. Up steep screes and a bare rocky track to reach the hikers summit, Pt. Lenana in time for sunrise – Kilimanjaro is usually visible 340 km to the south. The climb is on frozen scree going through the Harris tarn and requiring some scrambling on final stretch to reach the summit. This is unavoidable on any route but we aim to reach the summit and witness the magical sunrise over the equator at 6.30 am. Descent via Naro Moru Route on the opposite end of the peaks to reach Mackinder’s camp for breakfast. We feel tired but absolutely ecstatic.

Day 4
Mackinder's Camp (4200 m) to Met Station hut -Naroromu Gate (2600 m)
Hiking time: 7-8 h / Distance: 22 km / Descent: 1600 m
Descent on an trodden trail past the famed vertical bog to Met Station in approximately 4 hours We Pick you by 4x4 to the Met station to Naromoru Gate for your Pick car to Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi afternoon.
